While the seniors are competing in the national championships in Manchester, 2 weeks ago Hisham, Abi and Iain (as team coach) traveled to Newport as part of the 7 rider South East team for the Inter-Regional track championships. Abi Writes:

On Thursday afternoon we set off with Iain to Newport, picking up the other team members on the way. We unpacked our things at the velodrome then went back to the hotel and ate dinner.
Racing started on Friday morning, I did a scratch and the points. At the end of the day the South east team were doing really well (especially Jack who came first in the sprint) and we were coming first overall.
On Saturday racing continued with all the South East team competeing. In the morining i did the Keirn which was a great experience and then the madison with Kim.
On sunday we did the team events and South East ended up 4th overall. It was a really good 3 days, the racing was great and John Scripps DJing kept the spirits high in the velodrome all the time.
