Just a couple of weeks after representing the South East at the inter-regional track championships, Abi did the same again at the inter-regional mountainbike championships. One of the first post-games events to be held at the Hadleigh Farm course, home of the Olympic Mountainbike events. Abi Writes:
Last week I went with the rest of the South East team to Hadleigh Farm, to ride the Mountainbike inter regional championships. It was amazing! On the first day we had a skills test, it was really, then the following day we did a dirt crit which was 5 laps around a small course and there were three rounds, and also a hill climb. On the third day the was an XC race. It was an amazing course with a few of the Olympic drops in it which was a great challange. After five laps of that exhausting course there were the presentations where the South East came second overall. a great result! the event was so much fun and well organised, there was also really sunny weather which made it even better.
